What is Standard Coaching ?

What is Standard Coaching ?

The “standard” coaching is a support through several sessions allowing the client to reach a personal or professional objective. It targets, as examples:

  • People facing a professional transition : occupational retraining, new role or new company…
  • People who wonder about their place in their company : values alignment, work meaning…
  • People who would like to change one’s personal behavior which concerns them in their daily life : public speaking, lack of self-confidence…
  • People who would like to change their interactions model with their relatives : kids, partner, parents…
It has a limited length of time and aims at helping the client to identify and use ones’ own resources to move forward. It is also an opportunity for the client to become more autonomous and then in the end, to get rid of the coaching.

3 key steps to work together on your objective

Step 01
Preliminary session

Free and without obligation, the preliminary session will let me redefining how the coaching works. We will discuss your needs and expectations. We will talk about our methods of working. At the end of the session, you can decide if you want to move forward with me. If yes, we will sign a contract. It lasts about 1 hour.
Step 02
Coaching
+
During the coaching sessions, we will start by determining a session objective, linked to the overall coaching objective. Then we will explore various areas, mainly through questioning or exercises. Finally, we will end up by defining actions to be implemented between the sessions. It lasts about 1 hour. The number of sessions can be decided in the contract, or we can also let us the freedom to stop at any time.
Step 03
Debrief session

At the end of the coaching, this short session (30 minutes) aims at assessing the overall coaching by answering for example the following questions: has the objective been reached? What have we learnt? What would we like to keep?

Flash Coaching

What is a flash coaching ?

What is a flash coaching ?

The flash coaching is based on the same principles as the standard coaching. Its specificity is its length of time : there will be only one session, 2 maximum. It is a way to meet very punctual needs, as an example to make a decision:

  • Should I attend that event?
  • Am I right going back to studies?
  • Which hobbies should I choose for my retirement?
  • Should I become a freelance?
It is a way for the client to assess one’s current situation and identify one’s own resources to move forward.

One session to unlock a situation or to make a decision

A flash coaching session lasts about 90 minutes. It will leverage the information sent during the appointment setting. We will start by defining the framework and the objective. Then, as in the standard coaching, we will explore various areas, by questions and exercises. Finally, we will end up with a list of tasks to be implemented. At the end of the session, we will assess the session with for example the following questions : has the objective been reached? What have we learned? What would we keep?

What is Ikigai ?

Ikigai is a japanese word to say “meaning of life” or “reason for being”. It is one of the explanations of the extraordinary longevity of the Okinawa island inhabitants. This philosophy of life has been adapted to Western context with 4 crossing areas:

  • What I am good at
  • What I like
  • What I can be rewarded for
  • What the world needs.
Finding one’s Ikigai means, across several sessions and exercises, exploring these 4 areas and their interactions.

Step 02
Ikigai Coaching

During the Ikigai coaching sessions, we will explore the different Ikigai areas : what I’m good at, what I like doing, what the world needs, what I can be rewarded for, and their overlaps. Some exercises will be realized, during and between the sessions to nourish your reflection. Each session lasts about 1 hour. The number of sessions will be decided in the contract.
