What is a team coaching ?

The team coaching usually takes place in companies or associations. There is then a tripartite relationship between the client (the company), the recipients (the team) and the coach. The support is customized according to the needs. It can be organized in one or more sessions and can be part of a wider program including for example training, collective intelligence or co-development. It targets at, for example:

  • Project teams : at the beginning of the project to define the scope, during the project to reengage…
  • Associations : to define the values, the vision
  • Leadership teams : to work together to get the most out of each member
  • Sales teams
  • Support function teams…
As for the individual coaching, it has a limited length of time and aims at helping the recipients to identify and use their own resources to move forward. It can sometimes be organized in parallel with individual coaching for the team members.

Step 01
Preliminary call
Free and without obligation, the preliminary call will allow me to understand the needs and expectations related to the team coaching. It is organized with the prescriber and eventually the team manager. We will talk about the terms of the coaching. After the session, I will send a quote detailing my recommendations. If it is accepted, we sign a contract.
Step 02
Coaching
Recipient Coaching + Prescibers follow up
Step 03
Conclusion session
A few weeks after the coaching, this 1 hour session includes the prescribers and eventually the team manager. It aims at assessing the output of the coaching : How the team has changed since the coaching? Has the objective been reached?

Recipients team coaching

The team is then coached according to the terms agreed on. The sessions are based on simulation or exercises different for their day to day, followed by questioning. The objective is to help the team to take a step back and to adopt a meta position on their ways of working. The length and number of sessions change according to the needs.

Follow up sessions with the prescribers

Follow up sessions are organized with the prescribers if needed. These sessions aim at sharing the coaching progress, to fix potential logistical issues etc. The detailed content of the recipients discussion remains confidential, but with their agreement, some components could be shared (such as an action plan).

What is a collective intelligence workshop?

A collective intelligence workshop aims at leveraging knowledge, experiences and individual skillsets from the members of a group to, as an example, fix an issue, reach an objective or find a new idea. The baseline is that we are smarter together than separately! It targets any group or team with a shared objective.
According to the needs, one or more workshops will be organized. Workshops aim at pushing the participants out of their comfort zone through educational activities or the use of metaphor to think out of the box. A collective intelligence workshop can be part of a larger program including as well team coaching and/or co-development.

Step 01
Preliminary call
Free and without obligation, the preliminary call will allow me to understand the needs and expectations related to the workshop. It is organized with the prescriber. We will talk about the organization of the workshop and about the objective. After the session, I will send a quote detailing my recommendations. If it is accepted, we sign a contract.
Step 02

Workshop

The workshop is then organized according to the agreed terms. It is based on well known collective intelligence workshops. The objective is to support the participants to let them leverage their individual strengths to go further. The length and the number of workshops vary according to the needs.
Step 03

Conclusion call

A few days after the workshop, this session of about 30 minutes is realized with the prescriber. It aims at debriefing the workshop.

We were organising a regional team meeting, with a series of 3 workshop – and with a built in progression. Laetitia helped us re-focus on what our core objectives were, and from there we collaborated on how to get to the best results. The teams eventually rallied behind the activities, we had the results we were hoping for – as well a staggering 4.6 (out of 5) satisfaction rate (post meeting team survey, specific question about team exercises). Do you know the feeling? When you get overwhelmed with plenty of information whereas you need to make quick decisions to go the next step of your project. Thanks to a simple tree representation, our project team could brainstorm and have clearer mind after this exercise. We could sort information, connect the dots more easily and visualize our different options. Towards the end of the session, the most relevant routes for the future became visible, almost obvious. It made the decision process much easier and the cherry on the cake, we had good fun! Thank you Laetitia for your support in this session. Co-Development
1 minute To understand Co-Development

What is a co-development workshop?

Co-development (created by Adrien Payette and Claude Champagne in Québec) is a specific way to use collective intelligence to the benefit of one individual. In each session, one of the participants plays the role of the client and share one’s need, when the others are consultants who share generously all their ideas and expertise. At the end of the session, the client leaves with an action plan to be implemented. Each participant will be the client at least once. It targets at for example:

  • Internal or external peers groups
  • Entrepreneurs or businessmen group
The sessions last about 2 hours and have a frequency decided by the group (ie monthly). A co-development program can be part of a wider program including coaching and/or collective intelligence workshops.

It is an opportunity for me to detail how a codev session works if needed and to well understand your expectations. It is organized with the prescriber. After the session, I will send a quote detailing my recommendations. If it is accepted, we sign a contract.
Step 02
Codev program kick off
This session is organized with the future participants and the prescriber. The approach is detailed and the team engagement rules are defined. It lasts 1 hour and allows to plan the first sessions.
Step 03
Co-development
Co-Dev sessions + Prescribers follow up sessions

Conclusion session

Step 03 in details

Codev sessions

Each session lasts about 2 hours. There are as many sessions as participants so that each participant can be the client once. The frequency is defined during the kickoff. The client will present one’s request and answer the consultants’questions. Then the consultants share generously their ideas, experiences and advice. The client ends the session by defining what is the most relevant or adequate to one’s situation and decide on the next actions.

I really enjoyed the collaborative nature of the co-development session. It was great to see everyone actively participating, sharing their ideas, working together. The facilitator did a fantastic job of guiding the discussion, keeping us focused, and ensuring that everyone had an opportunity to contribute. The structure, agenda and time allocation for each session was reasonable and we covered everything effectively.
